MANY THANKS

Many thanks to our new friends who have taken the time to provide resource materials, mentoring, or ideas for our community-based project.

Organic English will begin the pilot program using three online courses, including English with Jennifer, Rachel's English, and USA Learns, a online ESL program Funded by the U.S. Department of Education and released in 2008. The first two programs are independent Youtube channels produced by Jennifer Lebedev and Rachel.

The third is a website, www.usalearns.org, the result of a collaboration between Project IDEAL at the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research (ISR) and the Sacramento County Office of Education in California.

Thank you, Mr. John Fleischman, Director of Technology Services at Sacramento County Office of Education, for providing us with valuable online resources as we begin the design phase of Organic English. Mr. Fleischman guides development and enhancement for a variety of technology initiatives and projects such as the Outreach and Technology Assistance Network (otan.us), TEACH California (teachcalifornia.org) and U.S.A. Learns (usalearns.org).

THANK YOU to my own friends: Ms. Lisa Brown, M.A. - Language Teacher at Rubidoux High School, Riverside - Mr. Danny Murillo, M.A. - ESL Instructor at UCR Extension - Mrs. Josefina Abreo - for all your valuable ideas, resources, and moral support.
